EFT, which stands for Emotional Freedom Technique, or Tapping is a form of acupressure that follows the same meridians as traditional acupressure. It is used to physical and emotional ailments, but does not require the use of needles. It follows the idea that all of our problems have an emotional or psychological basis that the problem stems from. The goal of EFT is to clear as many psychological or emotional issues as possible so as to bring as much peace and freedom to the individual as possible, allowing for the most powerful and enduring results. EFT can also be applied in a purely physical manner, but the best results come from a combination of the physical and mental or emotional aspects together.
There is a complex energy channel system running throughout the body discovered by the Chinese around 5,000 years ago known as meridians. Much of Eastern medicine is based around these meridians. While you cannot see these energy pathways, you can see and feel the effects of their conditions and how various forms of meridian based treatments affect them. There is one basic statement that can sum up the basic theory behind EFT and that is the cause of all negativity is based in a disruption in the body’s energy systems. It is through these energy systems and clearing them that we can find the solution to an issue.
So why use EFT? Well, it often works where other treatments do not. This is because most modern treatments use primarily either a physical treatment or a mental/emotional treatment. EFT combines the two forms of treatment into one, making it extremely effective where those treatments have failed.
EFT is easy to learn, can be done yourself, and you can do it anywhere. No special education or licensing is necessary. Even children can learn how to do it. Plus, it is safe to do. It also can be fun, depending on how much you really want to put into it, but if you’re doing it right it is definitely enjoyable.
I personally have started using EFT and it has been helping to overcome negative blocks in my life tremendously! I seriously, recommend you try it. I mean really, what have you got to lose by trying?
