Sometimes when we want something, like a healthy fit body, we have resistance in our subconscious mind to it. Often times when we become overweight it’s due to unhealthy habits that we have become accustomed to. Those unhealthy habits are what we feel keep us safe or allow us to deal with emotions we might not enjoy. We want to hold on to them, even though we really want to be healthy, because those habits serve a purpose to us. Unhealthy food can be comforting in our time of need. Watching tv can seem far more appealing than exercising. Maybe you don’t think you have time to cook healthy food and are mentally exhausted from working a long stressful day. Bad habits like these are there because we have designed them as part of our life, and subconsciously your brain sees them as good for you.
So how do we change this? We retrain our subconscious mind. With hypnosis, it is the subconscious mind that is being spoken to. We tell it that it is ok to let go of those nasty habits that are holding us back, and that it is time to move forward into a new set of habits that are much healthier for us.
While viewing this video, sit or lay comfortably with your hands at your sides and your feet and legs uncrossed. Close your eyes, focus on your breathing and the sound of my voice. After the session has ended it is usually recommended to drink some water to help with the healing process.
